Bill 1070

There is no any justification presented in the Bill itself. JJ found the video of Patriot Network. The "patriot guy" says that one third of Arizona prisoners are foreigners. Actually the statistics is not on his side: illegal immigrants commit no more crimes than other people in the country. When was the last time someone see the news about a crime commited by illegal immigrant? The "patriots" can`t state either that people who operate in drug cartels and do the human traffic are illegal immigrants. Those people are doing well, I believe, they have all the necessary papers.
 So the only reason I see in initiating and passing this Bill is potitics. It`s always comforting to identify and label "the enemy". Politicians can do nothing but just scare people with some bigger threats. And it is great when threats come from outside, and "we" can be united in fighting with enemies.
  One of the enemies is the President of course. The second purpose of this bill is to show how fellow Americans can`t sleep when foreign criminals seeking the job in their state. In the time of 2 war and the financial crisis the President obviously couldn`t make immigration reform the first priority. This Bill is the attempt to say, "he doesn`t care about us, he cares about "them". That is exactly what "patriot" talks about on the video.
